Q: How did you meet?

We actually met at a traditional folk dancing night and he asked me out. I declined and it wasn’t until he asked me out a year later, that I decided to say yes. The first time I wasn’t ready for a great guy – he was too nice, funny and lovely. But once we went out, we were inseparable. And now four and a half years later, we’re getting married.

Q: How do you know he’s the man for you?

Wow, I think you just know. He treats me so well and he is so amazing to me that it just feels right. He just makes me feel good all the time. Also, when we were at Schoolies together, we played one of the those games where you try to pick a ball with a cool prize in it. He ended up with a plastic ring which he gave to me and said one day, it would be a real ring. I just knew then I think.

Q: Do you celebrate Valentines Day?

Yes we love it. On the first Valentines Day we spent together, he gave me a bunch of roses because I love them and he hid a fake rose in with all the fresh flowers with a card that said “I’ll love you until the last rose dies.” And of course, there will always be one rose that doesn’t die. It was so romantic. So now every Valentines Day, he gives me flowers with a different fake flower.
