Five words to describe your wedding? Happy, Fun, Memorable, Joyous, Love
Why did you choose Andrew as your photographer? While planning the wedding, I would rip photos out of the wedding magazines that I liked. When a friend suggested I look at Porfyri, all the photos that I had ripped out of the magazines were Andrew’s and I knew it was meant to be.
Tell me about your amazing dress? Where is it from? What made you choose that style? My dress was from Winnie Bridal in the Wintergarden. I knew I didn’t want a strapless dress and it all just fell into place from there. I was so comfortable in my dress. Winnie was amazing to deal with.
Favourite quote about love? Neither of us really have one (I looked on Google but didn’t really like any). All I know that is that it’s a feeling that takes you by surprise and never goes away.
How did you know Hayden was your one? We have been together for 11 years tomorrow. We’ve had our ups and downs but I’ve always known that my life is better with him in it. We make a great team.
What are your memories of the day? Fortunately, the day didn’t feel like it went too quick. Our ceremony was really special and there was a calm atmosphere in the church which was nice. We thought our reception was so much fun! Our band helped create a great vibe so it felt like one big celebration.
Would you do anything differently or change anything? Not a single thing. I couldn’t believe how smoothly the day went. It was honestly the happiest day of my life.
Advice to other ladies about to celebrate their big day? Just relax. There’s nothing you can do once the day starts so enjoy every moment and trust your bridesmaids, that’s why you picked them.
Any funny stories or super emotional moments that you want to share with us? My mum walked me down the aisle as my dad passed away a couple of years ago. She was really nervous before we went into the church and I wanted her to enjoy and remember our walk. So before entering the church I said to her, ‘Don’t fall over’ just to bring her back to reality. Funnily enough, it worked and we were laughing as we walking into the church.
