Savvas & Erin {Wedding Photography Brisbane}

Savvas & Erin were married on a gorgeous winter’s day in Brisbane. Savvas and Erin’s story began nine years ago when Erin was just sixteen and Savvas was nineteen…they met being a part of  Savvas’ elder sister’s bridal party.  After some time together our ‘young lovers’ thought they would test their relationship and decided to have some time apart. This was a turning point, absence proved to each that the other was what they wanted and they soon found their way back to each other.  Following a proposal written in salt at teppanyaki and months of planning, the big day arrived!

Erin looked amazing in a dress she helped her designer Darb create, and Savvas was the ever so laid back handsome groom, very gracious and caring, it was obvious he wanted to make sure the day was perfect for Erin. It was a beautiful day and the night full of laughter and dancing at The Greek Club. Our bride and groom celebrated their love for each other surrounded by their family and friends and Mr and Mrs Mavrick began their own piece of “happily ever after.”

Andrew has a wonderful day documenting Savvas & Erin’s love for each other, their families and friends. There were many special moments within the wedding that were captured. We particularly remember when Savvas’ dad showed Andrew a treasured photograph of his parents who have passed. Andrew incorporated this photo that meant so much in Savvas’ ‘getting ready’ wedding photographs.

Another moment we remember is the excitement shown by Savvas mum’s father who braved ill health to see his grandson marry in the family’s church. We have been told since, sadly papou (grandad) has passed, we will always remember his smile and the happiness in his eyes to be able to be there and watch his grandson marry the girl of his dreams.

And who could forget all those gorgeous little nieces and nephews that surrounded Savvas & Erin on their wedding day, they made us all smile!

This image is one of our all time favourite photos, our pageboy felt tired but did his job staying close to the action. What an absolute sweetheart!

Savvas & Erin we wish you a lifetime of happiness and thank-you for allowing Porfyri to document your precious day! We had a wonderful time!
