Ashleigh and Bryan are new parents and couldn’t be happier. Deciding to document their new baby Madelyn before she grows up, the trio came into our studio to capture some precious newborn moments.
Describe the experience in three words?
Fun, relaxed and exciting.
Why did you decide to have a baby shoot?
We were told that time with a newborn baby flies – before you know it they are all grown up. We wanted Andrew to capture this special time in beautiful pictures that we can look back on as Madelyn grows up.
Have you done anything like this before or have any of your friends?
Andrew photographed our wedding – and our engagement shoot – and did such a fabulous job of it. Aside from that, no.
Did it match your expectations?
Yes, absolutely. Having had photographs taken by Andrew before we knew that he would hit the mark!
Any advice to other new mums who are looking to do something like this? Any special preparation required?
It is most definitely worth doing. The pictures are just beautiful and already it feels like Madelyn has grown so much – only in a matter of weeks. It’s pretty hard to prepare for anything with a newborn baby but make sure you have nappies and a change of clothes with you.

Of course. We love this one!
What are you going to do with the photos?
Put them in our favourite places and share them with family and friends.
What does being a mum mean to you?
It’s very special. The time since Madelyn was born has been fabulous and the excitement and anticipation of what is to come is such a great feeling.
Would you recommend this to other mums or families and why?
Yes! Having a newborn is so special and anything you can do to preserve the memory of that time is irreplaceable.
