Anthea and George were married on Saturday and it was day filled with love, laughter and happiness. There was such a strong sense of family and connection and a genuine desire to bring two beautiful families together on the day. Also, there were some surprising styling touches so make sure you look out for those in the photos below (hint look for something COLD).
We chatted to the beautiful bride about her wedding day and asked her all types of questions (we are very curious here at Porfyri!)
Describe your day in one sentence?
A day filled with love and happiness.
What was your favourite moment from the day?
Walking down the aisle with my dad to meet my husband to be.
The first thing you thought when you woke up was?
The weather was good!
The most surprising part was?
No tears, all smiles. The night before George had surprised be with a beautiful gift also.
Would you change anything about the day?
Nothing at all.
Advice to other brides-to-be?
Stay calm and be happy throughout the process. No need to stress or get upset over anything as everything falls into place.
Was it everything you imagined it would be?
Of course.
What were you feeling when you walked down the aisle?
Keep smiling, take in the moment.
Tell us about the dress? That dress has had so many comments – did you know as soon as you saw it? Did you have it specially designed? Share all the goss 🙂
My dress was made by the amazing Steven Khalil. It was specially designed and made for me. I showed him some inspiration of gowns I loved, he sketched it and together we created it. The Fabric was from Paris and I was the first to wear it in Australia. He is a talented man.
What do you think about the photographs that Andrew took? Did they capture the day?
The photographs I’ve seen so far are amazing. From family pictures to behind the scenes, so far he has captured every special moment.
Do you have a favourite and why?
The photo of my dad and I before walking into the church is my favourite. We were so excited for the day to begin.
Everyone said you two were just the happiest couple – tell us about your love story. How did you meet? When did you know he was your one?
We met a few times before we became a couple. We met at a wedding when I was younger, out at a club and a year later we ended up being in the same University class. The rest is history. I knew he was the one from the beginning.
How do you complement each other? Are you similar or very different?
We are similar in ways and different in ways. We are both outgoing and enjoy a good time. I’m probably more loud when at times he is quiet.
Best advice about love you’ve ever received and from whom?
A few people wrote in our wedding cards that we would get a lot of advice on love … but to do what works for us. I think that’s relates to our relationship. We have done what works for us for 6 years now and our relationship has only grown stronger.
We were so excited to be part of Anthea and George’s special day. If you’re looking for a photographer to capture all the memories on your wedding day, call Anna at the studio on 07 3393 0066 or email porfyri@porfyri.com.au.
